Advertising Policy
What advertising and sponsored content Crypency accepts and rejects, the disclosures we require, and how ads are reviewed.
Last updated: October 2026. We may revise this policy as Crypency grows; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: support@crypency.com.
Our approach
Crypency is an educational site, and readers need to trust it. Every ad and sponsored item is labeled, reviewed by us before it runs, and kept separate from our editorial judgment (see our Editorial Policy). Accepting an ad is not an endorsement of the advertiser.
What we accept
- Infrastructure, payments, custody, compliance, data, developer tools and B2B services relevant to crypto and fiat rails.
- Banks, fintechs, card networks and regulated firms promoting products to business audiences.
- Events, research, hiring and educational resources.
- Token and protocol projects, only for educational or developer-focused messages (for example documentation, grants, developer tooling or events), and only after the extra checks below.
What we reject
- Financial promotions we can’t vet, including invitations to buy, sell, stake or invest in a token, coin, fund or yield product.
- Guaranteed or promised returns, “risk-free” claims, price predictions or performance claims we can’t verify.
- Token sales, presales, ICOs, IDOs, airdrop campaigns and referral or affiliate schemes that reward sign-ups with crypto.
- Unlicensed exchanges, lenders or money transmitters, gambling, and anything illegal where it’s aimed.
- Anonymous advertisers, mixers or tools marketed for evading sanctions, KYC or AML rules.
- Misleading, unsupported or comparative claims we can’t check, or creative that imitates Crypency’s editorial design.
- Hate, harassment, adult content, malware, or anything that tracks readers without disclosure.
Extra checks for token and protocol projects
- Named legal entity, team contact and jurisdiction.
- No offer or solicitation of the token; links go to documentation or developer pages, not to buy pages.
- Any regulatory status claimed (license, registration, approval) must be verifiable from the regulator’s own public register.
- We may ask for more information or decline without giving a reason.
Required disclosures
- Every placement carries a visible Sponsored label; sponsored articles and guest posts are labeled Sponsored at the top, with the sponsor named.
- Claims about figures need a source and an as-of date.
- If an article mentions the sponsor’s products, risks must be stated as plainly as benefits.
- Destination links may carry our campaign tags (UTM) so we can report clicks.
Payment
Advertising and sponsored content are billed by Stripe invoice, paid by card or ACH bank transfer. Crypency does not accept crypto or stablecoin payments. Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Review and removal
We review every ad and sponsored item before it runs and can ask for changes, decline it, or remove it later if it breaks this policy or becomes misleading. Questions: ads@crypency.com.
