Editorial Policy
How Crypency keeps editorial content independent, labels sponsored content, sources figures and handles corrections.
Last updated: October 2026. We may revise this policy as Crypency grows; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: support@crypency.com.
Independence
Our editorial content is chosen and written by Crypency. Advertisers and sponsors don’t pay for coverage, review our articles before publication, or change our conclusions or sources. Buying an ad doesn’t buy a directory listing, a mention, or favorable treatment. Named firms are illustrative, not endorsements.
How sponsored content is labeled
- Ads and directory spotlights carry a visible Sponsored label.
- Sponsored articles and guest posts are labeled Sponsored at the top of the page and name the sponsor. Guest posts show the author’s name and company.
- Sponsored items still go through our editing for accuracy and must follow our Advertising Policy.
- We don’t take payment for links inside editorial articles.
Sources and figures
We prefer primary sources (regulators, central banks, statutes, and issuers’ own disclosures), put an as-of date on figures, and label estimates and secondary figures. More detail is on Sources & methods.
Use of AI tools
We use software tools, including AI, to help research and draft. A person reviews what we publish, and every figure must trace back to a source.
Corrections
- Spotted an error? Email support@crypency.com with the page and the source.
- We check it, normally within 2 business days. Factual errors are fixed on the page; significant corrections get a dated note.
- Routine updates to dated figures (for example a newer issuer figure) are shown by the new as-of date.
Conflicts of interest
If we write about a company that is also an advertiser or sponsor, we say so in the article.
