The short version

Who is responsible

Crypency, operated by Aziz Sattar (sole proprietor), Henderson, Nevada, USA. Contact: support@crypency.com.

What we collect and why

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages are read and how people find us. GA4 uses cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location (from IP address), device and browser type, and the site that referred you. We also record a sign-up event when someone joins the newsletter. See our Cookie Policy.

Crypency Brief newsletter (Brevo)

When you subscribe we store your email address, your name if you give it, the topic tracks you pick, and how you first reached the site: the UTM campaign tags in the link you used (source, medium and campaign), the referring website, and the first page you landed on. We keep this with our email provider, Brevo, and in our server logs, so we can send the Brief, measure which channels work, and keep records of consent.

Payments (Stripe)

Paid services are billed by Stripe invoice. Stripe collects and processes your payment details (card or bank account); we don’t see or store full card or account numbers. We keep invoice records (name, company, email, amount, what was bought) for accounting and tax purposes.

Forms, email and the Crypency Guide

When you use a request form (booklets, briefings, quotes, listings) or the Crypency Guide chat widget, we log what you send: the message type, your message, your email if you give it, and the page you were on. These logs are stored with our host and used to answer you and improve the site. Email sent to crypency.com addresses is forwarded through ImprovMX to our inbox.

Hosting (Vercel)

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to serve and protect the site, and stores our server logs.

Service providers

We use these providers to run Crypency. Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy: Google (GA4 analytics), Brevo (newsletter), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and logs) and ImprovMX (email forwarding). We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep data

Newsletter data is kept while you are subscribed and removed after you unsubscribe and ask for deletion. Server and form logs are kept for a limited period by our host. Invoice and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

California and other U.S. state privacy rights (CCPA notice)

If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. The categories we collect are identifiers (email, name), internet activity (pages viewed, referrer, campaign tags), approximate location, and commercial information (purchases). The sources and purposes are described above. Crypency does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email support@crypency.com; we’ll verify your request using the email address concerned.

Children

Crypency is for professionals and isn’t directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their data.

International visitors

Crypency is run from the United States, and our providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries.

Changes

We’ll update this page if our practices change, and change the “Last updated” date.
