Refunds and Cancellations
How cancellations and refunds work for Crypency subscriptions, one-time briefs, booklets, advertising and sponsored content.
Last updated: October 2026. We may revise this policy as Crypency grows; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: support@crypency.com.
How to ask
Email support@crypency.com (or ads@crypency.com for ads and sponsored content) with your invoice number and what you’d like. We reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.
Subscriptions
- Cancel anytime by email. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- First purchase: if you cancel within 7 days of your first paid subscription invoice and have used no more than one request, we’ll refund it in full.
- Monthly plans: after the first 7 days, the current month isn’t refunded.
- Annual plans: after the first 7 days, you can cancel the renewal; we don’t refund the remaining months unless we can’t deliver the service.
- If we stop offering a plan or can’t deliver what you paid for, we refund the unused part.
One-time briefs
Once we’ve delivered a one-time brief it isn’t refundable, but if it doesn’t answer the question you agreed with us, tell us within 14 days and we’ll revise it. If we haven’t started work, we’ll refund it in full.
Booklets
Our booklets are free downloads, so there’s nothing to refund. If we ever sell a paid booklet or pack, a full refund is available within 7 days if you haven’t downloaded it.
Advertising and sponsored content
- Before launch: cancel in writing at least 14 days before the start date for a full refund. Within 14 days of start, creative and production work already done may be charged.
- After launch: running placements aren’t refunded for the elapsed period. If we fail to run a placement as agreed, we offer a make-good (extra time or a comparable slot) or a pro-rated refund.
- Sponsored articles: once an article is published it isn’t refundable. If we decline to publish it under our Advertising Policy or Editorial Policy, we refund any amount paid for work not done.
- If we remove an ad because it breaks our Advertising Policy, the unused period isn’t refunded.
Disputes
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; most issues are quicker to fix by email.
